Blabbermouth.net has posted a statement regarding the European tour cancellation. It says:
GODSMACK have released the following statement regarding the cancellation of their European tour, originally scheduled to kick off on July 13 in Manchester, England: "GODSMACK had several projects with contractual deadlines that couldn't be moved, so they were unable to keep the U.K. dates. Future tour dates are going to be considered."
When asked if the above statement means that GODSMACK will in fact go ahead with some of their other previously scheduled non-U.K. European shows, the group's publicist, Jamie Roberts, told BLABBERMOUTH.NET, "That means all European dates [are off] for now. The only non-U.S. thing that is still on is Fuji Rock fest in Japan" on Saturday, July 26.
In addition to their headlining dates in July, GODSMACK were previously set to support OZZY OSBOURNE and H.I.M. on a European tour beginning September 4 in London, England. A replacement act for that trek has yet to be announced.

GODSMACK's "I Stand Alone" is up for "Best Hard Rock Performance" and for "Best Rock Song"."It did [take us by surprise], because we've been so busy working on the new record and things like that, we didn't even think about," Erna said. "2002 was kind of a wash for us, except for that one track. It served its purpose. It kept us afloat the whole time we were down working on the new album and stuff, so...but now that it's soaking in I'm like, I'm pretty excited that we just got nominated for a couple. Whether we take it, or whether we don't, it's still...Someone recognized us for the hard work we've done."
