New York (March 19, 2003) -- The rock radio chart action for Universal recording artists Godsmack and 3 Doors Down has been making a lot of noise over the past few weeks and this week it gets louder.

Godsmack's "Straight Out Of Line" takes over the #1 position on the Rock Mainstream chart, thus ending 3 Doors Down's 18 week run in the position with "When I'm Gone." "Straight Out Of Line" also holds strong at the #1 spot on the Active Rock chart for a second week.

3 Doors Down may have lost the #1 spot on the Rock Mainstream chart, but "When I'm Gone" continues it's climb to #14 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles. The accompanying video for "When I'm Gone," which shows footage of the group's tour of military bases and is dedicated to the men and woman who serve our country, has been added at MTV.

The group's second single, "Road I'm On," repeated the group's first week add history by being the #1 most added at three R&R formats -- Alternative, Active and Rock. 3 Doors Down group members just completed the shooting of the song's video in Charlotte, NC where they were joined by NASCAR star drivers Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Godsmack are currently gearing up for the April 8 release of their third studio release, "FACELESS." Look for Godsmack week of performances on The Tonight Show (4/8), Jimmy Kimmel Live (4/11) and Mad-TV (4/12).

3 Doors Down are currently touring Europe and return to the states for the second leg of their U.S. tour.
