METAL EDGE MAGAZINE’S “FIRST TRULY GREAT BAND OF THE MILLENIUM” HIT THE ROAD WITH A VENGEANCE
New York, NY - Multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated road-worn rockers, GODSMACK, are setting out on tour in support of their brand new release, FACELESS.
FACELESS is a departure for the Boston-based four-piece who now welcome new member, Shannon Larkin on the drums. Not only is there an awe-inspiring injection of raw energy from Larkin’s admittance into the GODSMACK fold, but vocalist, Sully Erna also took this opportunity to test his vocal range throughout the band’s new material. More melody in music and vocals, deeper subject matter and extraordinarily potent guitar solos from Tony Rombola punctuate GODSMACK’s evolution in sound. The album name, according to bassist Robbie Merrill, came from the band’s feeling that, despite their amazing radio and sales success, they still flew a bit ‘under the radar.’ Their upcoming tour is sure to change that and thrust the band into the spotlight on the strength of their explosive live performance.
Upon the release of FACELESS, the band will be appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live (4/11) and later in the month to kick off sweeps week on Mad TV (4/26). They can also be seen on the cover of the current issues of Guitar One Magazine and Metal Edge Magazine with covers coming up in Circus and Hit Parader Magazines . Features in Guitar World, Revolver, Request, Modern Drummer and more as well as reviews in USA Today, Entertainment Weekly, Maxim, Rolling Stone, Blender and more will be running throughout April and May as the band roll through a town near you.
