TRACK COMES ON STRONG WITH #1 MOST ADDED DEBUT AT MAINSTREAM ROCK, #2 AT ACTIVE AND #3 AT ALTERNATIVE
New York, NY - The second single from GODSMACK's platinum-selling CD, FACELESS, has shot out of the gate, taking an impressive lead in the race for rock radio adds.
"Serenity," the somber track that was written as a tribute to RUSH drummer, Neil Peart, took #1 Most Added honors at R&R Mainstream Rock and #2 Most Added Honors at R&R Active Rock. The track came in at #3 in the R&R Alternative Rock format as well. The track also debuted in the Top 40 on the BDS and R&R Active and Mainstream Rock charts.
This tribal-tinged answer to GODSMACK's early hit, "Voodoo," has found early believers in the band's hometown of Boston, MA at WBCN (where the record has Top 10 phones) and WAAF as well as other stations where the album is inspiring callers to request it in droves - WOCL in Orlando, FL and KNDD in Seattle, WA among others.
With an audience of over 3.3 million, "Serenity" is winning over radio programmers as well as radio listeners all over the US as the band wind up their American tour. GODSMACK will conquer Europe as "Serenity" conquers the airwaves here and then will return in the fall to play many more US dates.
