New York, NY (December 16, 2003) – Republic/Universal recording group, GODSMACK will tour with their metal idols -- Metallica – on the Madly In Anger With The World Tour, beginning March 2, 2004 in Phoenix. Tickets for select dates will go on sale Saturday, December 20. Dates for April and May will be announced shortly.

For Godsmack, 2003 has been a whirlwind which started with two Grammy nominations, debuting their third release, FACELESS, at #1, garnering multiple hit singles at radio and closing out where they began, with a Grammy nod for Best Hard Rock Performance.

The Boston-based rockers made a name for themselves in the hard rock arena with their multi-platinum self-titled debut and the follow-up multi-platinum and Grammy nominated release, AWAKE. They received two Grammy nominations earlier this year for the track "I Stand Alone," which was the lead single from THE SCORPION KING Soundtrack and also appears on FACELESS.

Produced by David Botrill, FACELESS took the #1 position on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart when it made its debut in April, 2003. In less then five weeks the CD was certified Gold and quickly went to Platinum status. FACELESS has spawned two radio hits – "Straight Out Of Line" and "Serenity." The group is currently gaining on the airwaves with the latest track at radio, "Re-Align," and just received a third Grammy nod.

Joining Metallica on the road will mark the groups return to the U.S. after spending most of the fall and winter months touring Europe.
